St Kitts and Nevis to spend over US $1.1 billion to construct a prison, amount equivalent to nine 5-star hotels

History is evident that each day thousands of articles are published against the government, and they only reply to those articles that have credible information. St Kitts and Nevis’ Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) recently made a statement refuting the claims of the Middle Eastern Times.

It shows how closely the government is monitoring the Middle Eastern Times and is worried about further revelations.

In an additional exclusive update, a St Kitts and Nevis based developer, on a condition of anonymity, said that the government of St Kitts and Nevis is trying to hide a scam totalling the US $1.1 billion by just contracting a prison in St Kitts.

The entire development projects are put on a standstill, and all developers are in blues. The government has diverted its attention from projects of concern, instead major focus is being paid to construct a prsion at huge cost.

“In a bid to construct luxurious 5-star hotel Park Hyatt, St. Kitts and Nevis government approved only 600 citizenship applications, which is nine times less than the applications approved for the construction of a prison, which is 5,500. It is no surprise for us that prison will not offer high quality stays or state of the art structure and will cost significantly less than the construction of a hotel. Why Caribbean Galaxy was given an excess of 5,500 citizenship applications by the government?” an upset developer asserted.

Press Release by St Kitts and Nevis government

According to sources, the Caribbean Galaxy has been given 5,500 citizenship by investment applications to construct a new prison, whose actual cost is less than US $20 million. However, if each application is sold at US $200,000 (government authorized price under real estate), that totals to a whopping US $1.1 billion ($200,000 X 5,500 = 1.1 billion). The entire money which could have gone into the development of St Kitts and Nevis is being given to Ying Jin of Caribbean Galaxy. The scam does not end here, and the entire fraud is taking place with the full approval of Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris and CIU CEO Les Khan.

Every developer must have an escrow account for transactions that local lawyers mainly handle, but in the case of Ying Jin’s Caribbean Galaxy, Les Khan and PM Harris have removed the requirement of an escrow account in the prison construction project, said the developer.

“Developers must get together on this issue and immediately seek ban on Caribbean Galaxy and ask the government to put all citizenship applications under investigation. I request to the current government as well as to the new government which would be elected in the country to take this matter seriously otherwise it will damage the prestigious citizenship program of the country,” the developer added.

If the government intends to reply to the articles. In that case, we do have specific questions for Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris, CEO of Citizenship by Investment Program, Les Khan, as follows.

1. Why did the government approve 5,500 citizenship by investment program applications to Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate to construct a prison?

2. If there is an Escrow account of prison, then who is managing that account?

3. Why does the government is emphasising on constructing a prison so much?

St Kitts and Nevis is suffering a major setback in terms of politics, and it is expected that the administration led by Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris will see oust from the government. The developer stated that he and his family have over 20 votes, and if Prime Minister Harris or People’s Labour Party (PLP) is not able to make a deal with Caribbean Galaxy transparent, they will vote for the people who are capable of making data available.

There is no doubt that St Kitts and Nevis CBI programme is the oldest and best in the world, as said in the government press release. But after Caribbean Galaxy came to St Kitts and Nevis, the program’s credibility and significance were dilapidated as a result of the non-systematic approach, which worried developers about how their projects will complete.

Shockingly, all projects in St Kitts and Nevis combined, including 5-star luxury hotels, do not have a total of 5,500 citizenship applications, which are now given to Caribbean Galaxy for constructing an ordinary prison.

A rumour is spreading in the Federation that PM Timothy Harris is going to give his support to St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party in forthcoming elections on one condition that Labour will not conduct any investigation of the Ministry of Finance or Citizenship by Investment Unit as there are big secrets hidden inside. It is now sure that the primary issue of these upcoming elections will be Les Khan PM Timothy Harris and their association with Caribbean Galaxy’s Ying Jin.
