The fuss over the construction of an ultra-luxury prison in St Kitts and Nevis is not getting over. The government is under allegations of corruption and fraud over building a prison costing the country EC $3 billion (US $1.1 billion).   In order to understand the details, the Middle Eastern Times asked for developers’ responses on this matter. Over 20 individuals responded/commented and provided statements expressing their viewpoint on the construction of an expensive prison in the country or in other words biggest scam in St Kitts and Nevis history. Busting millions of dollar money laundering scam in St Kitts and Nevis exposed top-level political position holders, including Prime Minister and head of the CIU Unit. Caribbean Galaxy CEO Ying Jin and CIU Unit CEO Les Khan Dubai: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU), Les Khan has become implicated in an alleged scam worth US $165 million from a prison construction project in St Kitts.   Caribbean Galaxy - a construction firm based in St Kitts and Nevis has a contract to construct a prison. The government has provided the company with 5,500 citizenship applications as compensation for completing the prison project with applicable government fees, reveals an agent based in Dubai. In a bid to acquire this contract, the CEO of Caribbean Galaxy, Ying Jin, CEO of CIU Les Khan had an obscured agreement that on the sale of each citizenship, Ying Jin would pay the US $10,000 to CEO Les Khan - which he will reportedly share the sum with Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Timothy Harris, totalling over the US $55 million and her company (Caribbean Galaxy) will subsequently generate revenue of US $20,000 on sale of each citize

Egyptian Journalist Basma Mostafa Arrested in Luxor

Egyptian journalist Basma Mostafa, who works with local platform al-Manassa, was reportedly arrested by authorities in Luxor one day after her disappearance, according to statement released by her employer. News of her arrest also circulated social media, prompting questions on her whereabouts. According to al-Manassa, Mostafa traveled to Luxor on Saturday but then lost all contact with her employer. Later, the platform reported that prosecutors had interrogated Mostafa and ordered her to remain in custody for 15 days. “Mostafa’s last phone call before her disappearance on Saturday was at 11:15 am, when she arrived in Luxor, in which she said that a police officer stopped her and checked her identity and then allowed her to continue her walk, but he kept following her.
